Johannes has more than 25 years’ experience in the management, analysis, design, specification, administration, and monitoring of road related projects.
His experience covers the full range of roads, ranging from gravel rural roads to multi-lane freeways. Within Fulton Hogan he specialises in bituminous technology – producing sustainable binders and asphalts.
Paul Bright

Director, Betta Roads
Paul started as an apprentice Surveyor for Nottingham County Council at 19 years of age and worked in their road design department before leaving Local Government to work in the private sector on projects around the UK.
Emigrating to WA in 2000, Paul worked for Geofabrics for approximately five years before promoting the use of PolyCom Stabilising Aid into unsealed, sealed roads, airstrips, mine sites, national parks etc. in WA, China and India.

Jake Lewis
Account Manager, WesTrac
Jake is a Heavy Duty Mechanic by trade having spent 14 years with the Caterpillar Dealership in WA –WesTrac. He has played a part in world-first Machine Control & Guidance Technologies here in WA and abroad.
Originally trained as a heavy duty mechanic, he then moved onto product support and fleet performance roles before spending the last 5 years focusing on Machine Control & Guidance technologies. His time in Technology saw him travel to the U.S.A and Canada on multiple occasions to be a part of the development of world-first Machine Control & Guidance technologies for Caterpillar Equipment. He’s now based back home in the South West in his roots of agriculture, serving the Great Southern and Lower Wheatbelt regions as the WesTrac Account Manager. He will talk on how construction equipment technology can assist local government shires in reducing costs and improving efficiencies in road construction and maintenance.
